fallout
The day is finally ending; it was exhausting. Wonderful, but exhausting. One of these years I'm going to pass the oven-mitts and paring knife over to someone else and exercise my right to a slothful Christmas, though I fear that half the fun, perhaps, is in the flurry of preparation, and subsequently seeing people enjoy the fruits of a grand endeavour.
And while the body is just about ready for an early night, the mind is still racing; it's desperate to go dancing.
Hey Allie, take me dancing!
Alas, everything is shut, and I feel halfway pregnant as it is. Nuh-uh, mind will have to wait for another day.

I was amused to see the name of the category of this entry, "I Eat All the Pies!" It sounds like something a beginners language learner might say in the classroom, and as the teacher you just nod and smile and reply: "Oh really? How interesting!" while what you're really thinking is: "So what's this one going on about? Is he attempting to prove to the rest of us how greedy he is - that would be odd - or is he trying to communicate some other message that appears to be beyond the scope of his current language skills?"
Oops, I seem to have gone off at a complete tangent! Never mind.
Season's greetings from Bonnie Scotland!
Merry Christmas
