A Happy and Prosperous New Year to you too! :D

It's the one festival of the year I get to dress up like a stop sign and get away with it. ;p

What I'll miss most is the massive, full-on Lion Dances they used to do outside Bukit Bintang and Metro Jaya... the drums that you can feel in your lungs at 100 paces. They sometimes do one in Covent Garden, here, but it's not on the same scale, or half as elaborate. Make the most of it.

And, mmm, ditto for the savoury dumplings.

Yup, they still have those. the drums are still extremely noisy, the dumplings very savoury, the cookies very crumbly, the ang pows very red (though not as full as of late. bleh.) and the aunts very gossipy. ;P Yup, it's Chinese New Year alright.
